God can show you accurately who you are, what's in your heart. He can reveal those things to you and He will allow you to hunger. He will humble you, He will test you, and He will allow you to hunger so that you'll know what you really should be eating.

Freedom can't come from us being perfect. Freedom comes from looking at the perfect one.

We can't have zeal for his house and also pursue friendship with the world. We can't want to build and not count the cost. We can't have fragrant aroma if we don't have burning flesh.

I wonder how much of what we're warring over are things that we refuse to let go of and give to God.

I hope you see if you walk away with anything today, see that you are designed by God to be more of a conduit than a container, that you're a vessel that God should be working in.

God sets the solitary in families. He brings out those who are bound into prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

It should be noted that God changed Jacob's name and Jacob never walked the same again. And because Jacob wrestled with God, he went from a struggle to a limp. When you've wrestled with God, you don't walk the same. You're not the same.

If you don't do anything, you never know his strength. If you don't do anything, you never step out in strength, you never discover it. There's no joy there because you'd never go anywhere. Get up, go out, be the church.
