Day 1: Wisdom Begins With a Relationship

Wisdom is not a checklist. It is not a set of principles you master and move on from. It is something you walk in, day by day, through a living relationship with God. In Proverbs 4, a Father urges His son to get wisdom, love her, prize her, and hold on to her. That language is deeply personal. It sounds less like a lecture and more like a Father pleading with His child to hold onto something precious. Because wisdom, at its core, is relational. Solomon learned this from his Father David. David was not a perfect man, but he was known as a man after God's own heart. He maintained his relationship with God through failure, grief, and triumph. And when God appeared to Solomon and offered Him anything He desired, Solomon responded with humility rooted in that same relational foundation. That is where wisdom starts. Not with more information, but with a posture of the heart toward God. When we stay close to Him, He gives us what we need to navigate life well. You do not have to have everything figured out. You just have to stay close to the One who does.

Day 2: The Path That Grows Brighter

Every day, you are on a path. The decisions you make shape that path, but so do the decisions you avoid. Staying still is still a choice, and time keeps moving regardless. Proverbs 4 paints a vivid picture of two very different roads. The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, growing brighter with every step. The way of the wicked is deep darkness, where people stumble without even knowing what tripped them. This is not meant to be discouraging. It is meant to be clarifying. God wants you to see the path clearly so you can walk it with confidence. He is not hiding the way from you. He is inviting you onto it. Jeremiah echoes this same invitation, calling God's people to ask for the ancient paths, to find where the good way is, and to walk in it. The promise attached to that obedience is rest. Not just relief from busyness, but deep, soul-level rest. You do not have to keep stumbling in the dark. The path is lit. The invitation is open. Take the next step toward the light today.

Day 3: The Danger of Going It Alone

There is a subtle lie that sounds a lot like confidence. It whispers that you can figure this out on your own, that you have enough experience, enough intelligence, enough strength to navigate life without leaning on God. Adam and Eve heard a version of that same whisper. The lure was not just forbidden fruit. It was the promise of self-sufficient wisdom, the idea that they could know and decide for themselves apart from God. And it cost them everything. Even Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, was not immune. Over time, foreign influences pulled his heart away from God. His wisdom did not protect him when he stopped walking in relationship with the source of that wisdom. This is a warning worth taking seriously. Self-sufficiency feels empowering, but it quietly leads us away from the very thing that keeps us. Wisdom is not a possession you can store up and draw from independently. It flows from an ongoing connection to God. The good news is that God has never stopped inviting us back. His grace is greater than our drift. Stay connected to Him, and He will keep you.

Day 4: Clothed in Something Better
Devotional
When Adam and Eve realized what they had done, their first instinct was to cover themselves. They grabbed fig leaves and hid. It was a desperate attempt to manage their own shame, to fix what they had broken with what they had on hand. God did not leave them in their fig leaves. He clothed them Himself, and that act of grace cost something. An animal gave its life so that their nakedness could be covered. It was a quiet foreshadowing of something far greater to come. Jesus Christ shed His blood to cover and clothe us in His righteousness. The cost has already been paid. You do not have to keep patching together your own covering, whether that looks like good behavior, religious routine, or simply showing up and hoping the presence of God rubs off on you. Being clothed in Christ is not about proximity. It is about relationship. It is about believing in Him, trusting Him, and being found in Him. That is where real covering comes from. You are not too far gone to be clothed in His grace. The offer is still open today.

Jesus, thank You for paying the cost to clothe me in Your righteousness. Help me to stop hiding and to rest fully in what You have already done. Amen.
Day 5: Greater Than Solomon Is Here

Solomon was extraordinary. His wisdom was unmatched in his time, a gift from God given in response to a humble and open heart. Yet Jesus said something remarkable: one greater than Solomon is here. Jesus is not just a teacher of wisdom. He is wisdom personified. Paul writes that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. To know Christ is to have access to the very mind of God. This means that every question you carry, every decision that feels too heavy, every season that leaves you confused, there is one place to bring it all. Not a self-help system. Not a formula. A person. Jesus Christ, who is still saying today, come to Me and I will give you rest. Wisdom is not something you graduate from or finally master. It is something you keep returning to, keep asking for, and keep receiving from the One who holds it all. The relationship is the point. Staying close to Him is the practice. You have access to the source of all wisdom. Draw near to Him today and trust that He will give you exactly what you need.
